Maia is a Senior at Fort Lewis College in Durango CO and will be graduating with a BA in Marketing in the Spring of 2019. Maia has spent time working with rescued and protected animals in Africa, Thailand, Costa Rica, Scotland, Ireland, and the US. Maia is also the Owner of Sonder Events & Marketing where she provides social media marketing, promotional event planning, and consulting. She has consistently pursued experiences that enhance not only her life but the lives of those around her. 

 

Maia has a passion for purpose branding and is particularly eager to educate people about consent education, sex education, body positivity, and eating disorders. Maia spent three years in a youth group called BYBA and lobbied in Congress to pass the FREED ( Federal Response to End Eating Disorders) which among many things, recognizes eating disorders as a disorder and provides professional and medical help covered by insurance for those suffering.
