Just the Way You Are with Dr. Paul Wichansky

Kristin interviews Dr. Paul Wichansky with Mental Health News Radio Network’s film producing partner, Chas for an incredible story of resilience, positive attitude, and inspiration.

Dr. Wichansky has never let his attitude become a disability. He was born with cerebral palsy and have a hearing loss. He is an author, speaker, meteorologist, and humanitarian. He has worked hard
to transform obstacles into opportunities for self-improvement, and host inspirational programs designed to show his audiences, by example, how they can also do the same.

He is a motivational speaker who hosts programs that inspire confidence, growth, and opportunity. Topics include disability awareness, diversity, anti-bullying, overcoming adversity, and optimism and resilience.

The NJ Senate honored him with a proclamation for sharing his story with over a million children and teens, parents, educators, and other professionals during an inspiring 40-year speaking career nationwide.

An inspiration to many, you can find out more about him at www.justthewayyouare.com.

Debby Waldman — “How Covid-19 and Power Tools Helped Heal My Relationship With My Son”

Debby Waldman is a writer and ex-pat American who has lived in Edmonton, Alberta, since 1992. We were knitting buddies in New Haven, Connecticut in the mid-1980s when she was a newspaper reporter there, but we lost touch until recently, when a mutual friend sent me her New York Times essay, “How Covid-19 and Power Tools Helped Heal My Relationship With My Son”: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/08/well/family/depression-suicide-covid-woodworking-canoe-cutting-boards.html

The essay is in part about how the pandemic gave her a chance to pursue a long-time dream, to learn woodworking, but it’s also about another step in her journey to understand and come to grips with her family’s legacy of mental illness. She has recently completed a draft of a memoir about the effects of the secrets and silence that surrounded the suicide of her father, a Reform rabbi, when she was 13. The Shift…What It Is and How To Thrive in the Higher Vibration

There has been much speculation about what’s going on in the world right now, everything
from Armageddon to the return of Christ. We can all see and feel the changes in the world and
while it looks chaotic, many of us know this to be a paradigm shift of epic proportions. When a
paradigm is shifting, chaos can and does manifest as the old energy is no longer helpful and is
shifting to a higher vibration. Those who are not ready to grow and expand will find themselves
feeling fearful, angry, and unsettled. Those of us who are engaging with and cooperating with
the process can feel the stress in our own endeavor of uncovering what no longer serves us
and healing ourselves. On this week’s episode of Empowered Empaths, Martha welcomes our
friend, psychic, medium and healer, Deborah Hendrickson as they discuss their own
experiences as well as how to remain centered and optimistic. While it is an uncomfortable
time to be alive, we came well equipped with all the tools we need not just to survive but thrive.
Deborah’s insight and wisdom helped us to remember who we are.

Vaccine Hesitant? That is ok…

Prayers UP for Health & Happiness for Humanity! I am known as an M.D. in my community for minimal prescribing and/or doing so only if needed. Connecting With The Spirit of the Tarot

Everyone has some familiarity with tarot cards either through a personal reading or anecdotal
testimony. The practice of reading the cards has been associated with darker esoteric
practices and has been largely misunderstood. This week, Kristin and Martha welcomed healer,
teacher and reader Meghan Rose who brought a new understanding to the practice of reading
the tarot and how the cards inspire the reader to a deeper understanding of the client,
triggering the reader’s intuitive gift of insight and empathy. Meghan shared her gift by giving
Martha a “mini” reading that was insightful and impactful. A peek at Meghan’s website,
www.Meghanrosewellness.com, will give you an idea of the services she provides. Join us for a
fun and informative trip into the spirit of the tarot!
