While we have guests from all over the world discussing all things mental health, our most popular shows are about narcissism and narcissistic abuse. This growing epidemic of the dark triad: Psychopathy, Narcissism, and Machiavellianism and the abuse those in contact with these personality-disordered individuals suffer.

LISTEN TO THE SHOW!

Christine Louis de Canonville joins us from Dublin, Ireland. She has been on our show twice before and by the time this show airs, her book, “The Three Faces of Evil,” should be available for purchase via Amazon.com or her website narcissisticbehaviour.net. Christine’s educational background includes her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Theology. She also holds diplomas in Forensic Psychology, Criminology and Teaching as well as studying Medical Anthropology.

Michelle Mallon also joins us from Ohio. Michelle has her Masters degree in Social Work from Ohio State University. She worked as a medical social worker at St Anne’s Hospital primarily on the Palliative Care Unit for 14 years and continues to teach in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Ohio State University. Her understanding of narcissistic abuse came after she was emotionally abused by a psychologist. She has since made it her mission to educate clinicians about this form of abuse including at the hands of those in their own profession.

Andrea Schneider also joins us. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in San Dimas, California. She received her MSW from University of Michigan and her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA. During her 20-year-career, Andrea has counseled thousands of individuals and families covering a broad range of issues and challenges, developing specialties in Maternal Wellness, Narcissistic Abuse Recovery, Special Needs Parenting, and Grief and Loss. She is the author of many articles posted on Goodtherapy.org of which the most popular and most commented on are those pertaining to narcissistic abuse. We are working together to bring awareness of this abuse and the term Narcissistic Victim Syndrome, NVS, into the nomenclature and clinical curriculum for anyone working within the field of mental health. We have a long road ahead of us and today’s talk is merely one episode in a series we will continue to air on this all important topic.
