Yvonne Heath — We Live in a Grief Phobic Society–#Just Show Up

In her nursing career, Yvonne Heath witnessed our grief-phobic society first hand and how our reluctance to talk about, plan and prepare for grief, death and dying causes excessive suffering personally, professionally in life, and at the end of life. She believes that when we learn to talk about and plan for grief and life’s challenges something amazing happens. We live more fully and we suffer less at the end of our life. Our loved ones and workplaces suffer less and are able to move through their grief. Find out more: LoveYourLifetoDeath.com.

New to MHNR Network!  Introducing Inside the Aspergers Studio!

Meet Reid Miles, a writer, a traveler and a lover of life, brings his podcast Inside the Aspergers Studio to Mental Health News Radio Network.

“I’ve always felt like a storyteller, but it takes time to learn what your words have to offer. I want to be a beacon of hope, a light at the end of the dark tunnel to let others know that I want to be here to be your guiding light.” – Reid Miles

Reid Miles is the host of Inside the Aspergers Studio a podcast that he began to help support his blog Aspergers Studio, began in 2018.  Reid decided he wanted to reach more people after beginning his blog, and began his voyage into podcasting.  He has since pulled in three different podcast themes within his podcast Inside the Aspergers Studio.

  • Inside the Aspergers Studio – the main show episodes

  • The Reiding Room – these are episodes in which Reid talks about subjects that he wants to share his thoughts on

  • Stories – these episodes are where Reid gets to know different people and allows them to tell their story.

Reid’s goals within all of his podcast episodes are to focus on honesty, the meaning  of the topic, connection, community, and often even some of the more difficult aspects of life.  He uses his podcast to help others like him get through the day.  He makes an effort to ensure that his listeners not only don’t feel alone, but also that they may pick up some pointers to assist them in similar situations.

Season 2 Episode 10: Suicide Prevention & Comedy with Frank King

In today’s show, I sit down and have a chat with one funny guy, Frank King. We talk about how he got to where he is today, talking about trying to help those who feel their lives aren’t worth a lot.

He gives us a peak into his life and how knew he was destined to be a comedian, started when he was in grammar school. He also talks about how he plan to build himself up again to get back into body building. He even showed me a picture of himself at 64 all muscled up.

He talks about how he was in a snow storm and his car was having a problem and that three thoughts were going through his head “I can either repair, get a new car, or kill himself” Well we know the outcome.  He is now going around using his humor trying to help those who are going through the same thing he was.

He is incredibly funny, we laughed so much. through the show. He says his favorite word is FUCK, and says “Come on, I am a comedian”

He talks about Chronic Sucide Idleation. and talks about his best compliment was when Johnthan Winters says he was funny when everyone else in the crowd thought he was funny.

Talks about how Leno was a great person to work for.  He has done numerous Ted Talks and is just one hell of a funny guy.

You can find out about him at the link below.
