David Wiss- Crap In=Crap Out

David Wiss, MS, RDN, CPT, grew up in Los Angeles, graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. He earned a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at California State University, Northridge, and completed training to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

For many years Mr. Wiss has been a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Additionally, he is an active member of the Behavioral Health Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group, and is on the executive board of the Los Angeles District of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Dr. Michael Barnes- The “Other” Family Trauma

Dr. Barnes is the Chief Clinical Officer at Foundry Treatment Center in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Working with his clinical team at Foundry, Dr Barnes is developing a trauma-integrated treatment process. His areas of responsibility included clinical oversight of all clinical programs, new program development, clinical supervision, and oversight of clinical record keeping. Dr. Barnes continues to present at national conferences, invited presentations, and as a guest lecturer at universities on the subjects of trauma, addiction, and the impact of trauma and addiction on family systems.

Johnathan DeCarlo- Finding Resources

Jonathan is a Certified Addiction Counselor (Level III), with experience in addiction/recovery and mental health care since 1995. He is currently the Clinical Director of Recovery 360°, providing psychosocial rehabilitation, individual, group, marriage, and family therapy, and organizational development and consultation services. Jonathan currently serves as a board member of the Colorado Association of Addiction Professionals (CAAP).

He has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families during early recovery from addiction and mental health issues and seeks to help people find therapeutic solutions utilizing a wide array of modalities and approaches.

David Nefussy- Making Insurance work for YOU

David Nefussy has been in the behavioral healthcare field for the past 27 years. Previously to joining Spectrum Health System as their New Vice President of Business Development, he worked on the payer side with companies including United Behavioral Health (OPTUM), PacifiCare, Magellan, and others, with the primary responsibility of building and enhancing provider networks in New England. That includes tasks like negotiating fee schedules and facility contracts, but also educating and training providers regarding network requirements.
