Non-Serving Beliefs Can Hold You Back According to Coach Sarah Bailey

Most of Sarah Flaherty Bailey’s clients have been carrying LIMITING BELIEFS that have been holding them back from the life of their dreams.  On average, adults have between 50,000-70,000 thoughts per day and feel like one word here and there doesn’t make a difference. But the nuances in language can create very different realities…should vs. choose can mean the difference between obligation vs. opportunity.

With this in mind the old adage “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” has been reinforcing the belief that words are not powerful…but they are!   In addition to her one-on-one coaching, she has created The Purpose Process workshop.  This intense and exciting workshop helps you discover your LIMITING BELIEFS that have been holding you back and allows you to re-write them.

Adult Relationships with Aaron Huey

Aaron Huey, founder of Firemountain Residential Treatment Center and host of Beyond Risk and Back, discusses how important it is to take care of the adult relationships in your life. This is a part of taking care of your kids – an important part. When we neglect our own self-care in order to take care of our children or anyone else, the example we set for our kids is that their own self-care can take a backseat. All of those relationships in our lives as adults such as with our ex-partners, coparents, extended family members, and so on are important and deserve healthy maintenance.

Interview with a Mom: Cutting Free

Aaron Huey, your host and the owner of Fire Mountain Residential Treatment Center, talks with a mother who shares her story of cutting.
What is cutting? Why is this commonplace with so many kids and also adults? How to help?Is there hope?
In the most basic sense, cutting is a maladaptive coping mechanism that teenagers (and some adults) use during times of high stress and anxiety. While this act is hardly ever accompanied by suicidal thoughts, there is no single cause that has been identified. This self-harming pattern does not affect any one cultural or socioeconomic group and therefore, is a reasonable worry for parents no matter who they are. On the other hand, it is worthy of noting that self harm by cutting is more prominent in females than males. More…
