Andrew Bernstein holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the City University of New York. He has taught high school–but largely college–classes for thirty years and has witnessed, first-hand, the decline of the educational system to the point where he no longer assigns essays in college Philosophy courses,
because the majority of students cannot write collegelevel essays. He has published six books and dozens of essays on a wide variety of topics, including education. His forthcoming book, American Education: The Collapse, The Cause, The Cure, explains the reasons public schools collapsed and points the way to educational renaissance.
