Heidi Swan is a screenwriter, speaker, and filmmaker. She studied at the University of Washington with a major in Drama. She worked as an actress for many years in theater, television, voiceovers, and commercials. She played the role of Jill Valentine in the Resident Evil Remake in 2002.
She is a passionate advocate for marijuana policy, homelessness, and substance abuse, and recovery. She is the co-author of the book, A night in Jail. This story has been adapted for theater and into a student-led short film. The book is a cautionary tale on the dangers of substance abuse and addiction. As part of her advocate for substance abuse, she is also a public speaker. She has joined up with different agencies as she talks about marijuana and its association with illness and homelessness.
