Join Dr.Stephanie Holmes and her co-host today, Sydney Holmes, who interviewed Dr. Temple Grandin, one of the keynote speakers for this year’s Converge Autism Summit from April 28-29 in Greenville, SC. Dr. Temple is passionate about young adults transitioning into meaningful careers. Her topic for the conference is “The Way I See It,” and today the focus is on teens and young adults. Sydney had the privilege of asking Dr. Temple questions collecting from teens and young adults in the autism community for advice from Dr. Temple Grandin. Dr. Temple even shares some career advice for Sydney.

Temple Grandin experienced finding an autism diagnosis back in the late 1940s when she was diagnosed at the age of two with autism. She eventually went to pursue work in psychology and animal science. She has become a leading advocate for autism and has also written books and provided consultation on the humane treatment of animals. She earned a degree in psychology from Franklin Pierce College in 1970, followed by a master’s degree in animal science from Arizona State University and a doctoral degree in animal science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
